Text
(a)A public question shall be placed on the
general election ballot in the following form:
[] YES
[] NO
(b)In addition to any other explanatory text required by law, the
ballot must also contain a statement that reads substantially as follows:
"To vote on this public question, make a voting mark on or in the
square to the left of the word "YES" or "NO".".
(c)Except as expressly authorized or required by statute, the
commission, the election division, or a county election board may not
authorize the printing or use of ballots that contain language
concerning the public question other than the language authorized by
a statute.
(d)A public question printed on a ballot shall be set forth without
any quotation marks preceding or following the text of the public
question.
