If assigning territory to a precinct under sections 6 through 7 of this chapter would create a precinct that includes territory of more than one (1) of the entities listed in section 4 of this chapter, the territory shall be divided along the boundary of the entities and each part of the territory assigned to a separate precinct in accordance with sections 6 through 7 of this chapter.
