Text
The board of any district may appoint a committee of local improvements consisting of the members of the board of trustees. The board's right to raise or lower the compensation of any committee member on account of any other office or employment shall not be restricted on account of such person's committee membership. The committee shall elect one member as chairman, one member as vice chairman and from within or outside its membership a clerk and such other assistant clerks or officers as the committee may determine to be appropriate. The board shall provide by resolution for compensation not to exceed $15 per day for each member of the committee while performing his or her duties as a member of the committee.
