Text
As an alternative to using the procedure prescribed by Division 2 of Article 9 and Division 87 of Article 11 of the Illinois Municipal Code, as now or hereafter amended, for making local improvements by special assessment or special taxation as provided in Section 19 of this Act, any sanitary district organized under this Act shall have the power to make local improvements by special assessment or special taxation in accordance with the procedure set forth in Sections 22a.1 through 22a.55 of this Act. The use of this alternative procedure is not mandatory, but shall be at the sole discretion of the board of trustees of the district.
