§ 10-2

The Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability shall collect information concerning the government and general welfare of the State, examine the effects of constitutional provisions and previously enacted statutes, consider important issues of public policy and questions of state-wide interest, and perform research and provide information as may be requested by the members of the General Assembly or as the Joint Committee on Legislative Support Services considers necessary or desirable. The Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability shall maintain an up-to-date computerized record of the information required to be reported to it by Section 1 of "An Act concerning State boards and commissions and amending a named Act", enacted by the 86th General Assembly, which information shall be a public record under The Freedom of Information Act. The Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability may prescribe forms for making initial reports and reports of change under that Section, and may request information to verify compliance with that Section.
