§ 10-1

The Legislative Research Unit is hereby established as a legislative support services agency until the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 100th General Assembly. The Legislative Research Unit is subject to the provisions of this Act, and shall exercise the powers and duties delegated to it herein and such other functions as may be provided by law. For purposes of the Successor Agency Act and Section 9b of the State Finance Act, on and after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 100th General Assembly, the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability is the successor to the Legislative Research Unit.
