(was 225 ILCS 65/20-85) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2028) Sec. 70-85. Stenographer; transcript. The Department, at its expense, shall provide a stenographer to take down the testimony and preserve a record of all formal hearing proceedings if a license may be revoked, suspended, or placed on probationary status or other disciplinary action may be taken. Any licensee who is found to have violated this Act or who fails to appear for a hearing to refuse to issue, restore, or renew a license or to discipline a license may be required by the Department to pay for the costs of the proceeding. These costs are limited to costs for court reporters, transcripts, and witness attendance and mileage fees. The Secretary may waive payment of costs by a licensee in whole or in part whe
