(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2031) Sec. 4-19. Emergency suspension. The Secretary may temporarily suspend the license of a barber, cosmetologist, nail technician, hair braider, esthetician or teacher thereof or of a cosmetology clinic teacher without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 4-10 of this Act, if the Secretary finds that evidence in the Secretary's possession indicates that the licensee's continuation in practice would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the event that the Secretary suspends, temporarily, this license without a hearing, a hearing must be commenced within 30 days after such suspension has occurred.
