(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030) Sec. 23.13. Summary suspension. The Secretary may summarily suspend the certificate of a certified shorthand reporter without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 23.2 of this Act, if the Secretary finds that the evidence indicates that a certified shorthand reporter's continuation in practice would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the event that the Secretary summarily suspends the certificate of a certified shorthand reporter without a hearing, a hearing shall be commenced within 30 days after such suspension has occurred and shall be concluded as expeditiously as possible.
