(was 20 ILCS 2105/61) Sec. 2105-40. Issuance of certificates and licenses. All certificates, licenses, and authorities shall be issued by the Department in the name of the Department, with the seal of the Department attached. Beginning July 1, 2024, the Department shall supplement all paper-based certificates and licenses with a digitally verified electronic credential. The Department may use a third-party electronic credential system. Such electronic credential system shall include a verification system that is operated by the electronic credential agency or its agent on its behalf for the purpose of verifying the authenticity and validity of electronic credentials.
