Licensing exemptions for athletic team health care professionals.
(a)Definitions. For purposes of this Section: "Athletic team" means any professional or amateur level group from outside the State of Illinois organized for the purpose of engaging in athletic events that employs the services of a health care professional. "Health care professional" means a physician, physician assistant, physical therapist, athletic trainer, or acupuncturist.
(b)Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a health care professional who is licensed to practice in another state or country shall be exempt from licensure requirements under the applicable Illinois professional Act while practicing his or her profession in this State if all of the following conditions are met:
