Text
Before any election is held, the election board shall obtain from the county auditor or
auditors a certified copy of so much of the record of the establishment of such district as
will show the lands embraced therein, the assessment and classification of each tract, and
the name of the person against whom the same was assessed for benefits, and the present
record owner, and such certified record shall be kept by the trustees after they are elected,
for use in subsequent elections. They shall, preceding each subsequent election, procure
from the county auditor or auditors additional certificates showing changes of title of land
assessed for benefits and the names of the new owners.
