Text
When the work to be done under a contract is completed to the satisfaction of the engineer
in charge of construction, the engineer shall report and certify that the contract is completed
to the board. Upon receipt of the report, the board shall set a day to consider the report and
shall give notice of the time and purpose of the meeting by ordinary mail to the owners of the
land on which the work was done, and to the owners of each tract of land or lot within the
district by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the county. The publication is
not required to name the owners of any tract of land or lot within the district. The date for
considering the report by the board shall be not less than ten days after the date of mailing,
or publication, whichever is later.
