Text
If the district extends into two or more counties, a duplicate of the petition shall be filed in
the office of the auditor of each county. The boards of supervisors shall, within thirty days
after the filing of such petition, meet in joint session and canvass the same, and if found to
be signed by a majority of the owners of land in the district assessed for benefits, they shall
by joint action order such election and appoint judges and clerks of election as provided in
section 468.502.
