Text
The contract or contracts for the construction of that portion of the improvement within
this state shall be entirely distinct and separate from the contract or contracts let by the
authorities of the neighboring state; but the aggregate amount of the contract or contracts for
the construction of the work within this state shall not exceed an amount equal to the amount
of the benefits assessed in this state including damages and other expenses.
