(a)Any ambiguity in this chapter shall be construed in a manner consistent with federal law applicable to the unemployment compensation program.
(b)In the event any Code section, subsection, paragraph, subparagraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or provision of this chapter shall be ruled unconstitutional by any court or out of conformity with federal law by the United States secretary of labor, such provision shall be null and void and of no force and effect. The General Assembly declares that it would have passed the remaining portions of this chapter if it had known that any such part or provision of this chapter would be declared unconstitutional or out of conformity with federal law by the United States secretary of labor.
