Text

(a)As used in this Code section, the term "accountability court" has the same meaning as in Code Section 15-1-18 .
(b)Subject to appropriations, the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council shall establish a grant program for the provision of funds to accountability courts that serve the mental health and co-occurring substance use disorder population to facilitate the implementation of trauma-informed treatment.
(c)The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council shall designate an employee to provide technical assistance to accountability courts. Such technical assistance shall include, but not be limited to, assistance interpreting data analysis reports to better identify and serve the mental health population.
