If any person shall fail to claim any garment, clothing, household article, or other articles delivered for laundering, cleaning, or pressing to any laundry or drycleaning establishment for a period of 6 months after the delivery of such article for laundering, cleaning, or processing, the laundry or drycleaning establishment to whom the garment, clothing, or household article is delivered shall have the right to dispose of such garment, clothing, or household article by whatsoever means it may choose without incurring liability or responsibility to the owner provided, however, that before such laundry or drycleaning establishment may claim the benefits of this section it shall at the time of the receiving of such garment, clothing, or household articles, give to the individual delivering
