§ 31-49i — Family and Medical Leave Insurance Trust Fund established.

(a)There is established a fund to be known as the “Family and Medical Leave Insurance Trust Fund” for the purpose of providing family and medical leave compensation to covered employees. The Family and Medical Leave Insurance Trust Fund shall be a nonlapsing fund held by the State Treasurer separate and apart from all other moneys, funds and accounts. Investment earnings credited to the trust shall become part of the trust.
(b)The fund shall constitute an instrumentality of the state and shall perform essential governmental functions, in accordance with the provisions of this section.
