Text
(a)Except as provided in subsections (b) and (c) of this section, the total extended benefit amount payable to any eligible individual with respect to his applicable benefit year shall be the least of the following amounts:
(1)Fifty per cent of the total amount of regular benefits, including dependents' allowances, which were payable to him under this chapter, in his applicable benefit year; and (2) thirteen times his average weekly benefit amount, including dependents' allowances, which was payable to him under this chapter, for a week of total unemployment in the applicable benefit year.
(b)With respect to weeks of unemployment which begin in a high unemployment period, as defined in subdivision (14) of subsection (a) of section 31-232b , the total extended benefit amount payable to a

(b) to limit an individual's combined trade adjustment assistance and unemployment compensation to a maximum of 52 weeks; P.A. 93-243 inserted new Subsec. (b) increasing the total extended benefit amount for eligible individuals who become unemployed during a high unemployment period and redesignated existing Subsec. (b) as Subsec. (c), effective June 23, 1993; P.A. 11-87 made technical changes in Subsec. (b), effective July 8, 2011.
