Text
An individual shall be eligible to receive extended benefits with respect to any week of unemployment in his eligibility period only if the administrator finds that with respect to such week:
(1)He is an “exhaustee”, as defined in subdivision (12) of subsection (a) of section 31-232b;
(2)he has satisfied the requirements of this chapter, for the receipt of regular benefits that are applicable to individuals claiming extended benefits, including not being subject to a disqualification for the receipt of benefits, except where such requirements are inconsistent with the requirements of subdivisions (3) and (4) of this section;
(3)he has been paid wages, by an employer subject to the provisions of this chapter, during the base period of his applicable benefit year (A) in an amount equal to

History: P.A. 82-361 required that, for an individual to be eligible for extended benefits, his base period earnings equal at least one and one-half times the highest quarter's earnings in his base period and that he has actively sought work as required in Sec. 31-232 l , effective September 26, 1982; P.A. 93-243 added Subsec. (c)(2) and (3) to expand eligibility for extended benefits, effective June 23, 1993; P.A. 11-87 made technical changes, effective July 8, 2011.
