Except when the result would be inconsistent with the other provisions of subsection (d) of section 31-222 and sections 31-231b, 31-232b to 31-232k, inclusive, subdivision (8) of subsection (a) of section 31-236 and section 31-250, as provided in the regulations of the administrator, the provisions of this chapter, which apply to claims for, or the payment of, regular benefits, including benefits for partial unemployment, shall apply to claims for, and the payment of, extended benefits.
