Text
(a)An online dating operator that offers services to residents of this state shall clearly and conspicuously provide a safety awareness notification on the online dating platform to all Connecticut users that includes a list of safety measures reasonably designed to increase awareness of safer online dating practices.
(b)A safety awareness notification described in subsection (a) of this section shall include the following statements in substantially similar form:
(1)“Use caution when communicating with a stranger who wants to meet you.”;
(2)“You should not include your last name, electronic mail address, home address, phone number or any other identifying information in your online dating profile or electronic mail messages or communications until you feel comfortable with the other u
