(a)The Governor may enter into one or more compacts, amendments to existing compacts, memoranda of understanding or agreements with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe or with the Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut, or both, to coordinate the administration and execution of laws and regulations of this state, as set forth in RERACA, and of laws and regulations of said tribes relating to the possession, delivery, production, processing or use of cannabis. Any such compact, amendment to existing compact, memorandum of understanding or agreement may contain provisions including, but not limited to, those relating to:

(1)Criminal and civil law enforcement;

(2)Laws and regulations relating to the possession, delivery, production, processing or use of cannabis; and (3) Laws and regulations rel

(a) The Governor may enter into one or more compacts, amendments to existing compacts, memoranda of understanding or agreements with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe or with the Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut, or both, to coordinate the administration and execution of laws and regulations of this state, as set forth in RERACA, and of laws and regulations of said tribes relating to the possession, delivery, production, processing or use of cannabis. Any such compact, amendment to existing compact, memorandum of understanding or agreement may contain provisions including, but not limited to, those relating to: (1) Criminal and civil law enforcement; (2) Laws and regulations relating to the possession, delivery, production, processing or use of cannabis; and (3) Laws and regulations relating to taxation. (b) Any compact, amendment to existing compact, memorandum of understanding or agreement entered into pursuant to subsection (a) of this section shall: (1) Provide for the preservation of public health and safety; (2) Ensure the security of any cannabis production, processing, testing or retail facilities on tribal land; and (3) Regulate any business involving cannabis that passes between the reservation of the tribal nation that is a party to such compact, amendment to existing compact, memorandum of understanding or agreement, and other areas in the state. (c) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 3-6c , any compact, amendment to existing compact, memorandum of understanding or agreement, or renewal thereof, entered into by the Governor with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe or with the Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut pursuant to subsection (a) of this section, shall be considered approved by the General Assembly under section 3-6c upon the Governor entering into such compact, amendment to existing compact, memorandum of understanding or agreement, or renewal thereof, without any further action required by the General Assembly.
