(a)Vending machine operators' licenses shall be of such size and style as the commissioner prescribes and shall be numbered. Each operator's license shall be displayed conspicuously at the operator's principal place of business in this state. No license shall be transferable from person to person. Each vending machine shall also bear in a conspicuous manner the name and address of the operator thereof and a telephone number which may be called for service at any hour of the day, provided, if two or more vending machines are displayed in a common area, such disclosure may be on a sign or placard conspicuously displayed in such area.

(b)Each license shall expire annually and may be renewed upon application and upon payment of the fee prescribed by section 21a-36 .

(d) Every owner and operator shall maintain at his principal place of business in this state a current list of all vending machines which he owns and has in operation, which list shall be made available, upon request, to the commissioner and any authorized inspector. (e) Every owner shall notify the commissioner promptly upon converting any vending machine to dispense any food or beverage other than that for which such machine originally was designed or constructed. History: 1969 acts removed references to vending machine licenses, removed requirement that licenses be “serially” numbered, clarified nontransferability of licenses by adding phrase “from person to person” and added provisions re display of operator's name and address and service telephone number on machines in Subsec. (a), deleted reference to Sec. 19-193b in Subsec. (b) and replaced “owns or operates” with “owns and has in operation” in Subsec. (d); Sec. 19-193d transferred to Sec. 21a-37 in 1983; P.A. 94-36 amended Subsec. (b) to eliminate the reference to the “last day of June” license expiration date, effective January 1, 1995.
