As used in this part 13, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)Insurer means every person engaged as principal, indemnitor, surety, or
contractor in the business of making contracts of insurance, and any person
authorized to represent an insurer with respect to a claim.
(2)Nonoriginal equipment replacement crash part means a replacement
crash part which is not supplied by the manufacturer of the motor vehicle on which
the part is used.
(3)Replacement crash part means a replacement for any of the
nonmechanical sheet metal or plastic parts which generally constitute the exterior
of a motor vehicle, including inner and outer panels.
