§ 10-16-217 — Application of part 1 of this article and part 2
(1)Nothing in part
1 of this article or this part 2 shall apply to or affect any policy of workers'
compensation insurance or any policy of liability insurance with or without
supplementary expense coverage in said policy; or life insurance, endowment, or
annuity contracts, or contracts supplemental to said policy which contain only such
provisions relating to sickness and accident insurance as provide additional
benefits in case of death by accident, and as operate to safeguard such contracts
against lapse, or to give a special surrender value or special benefit or annuity in
the event that the insured or annuitant becomes totally and permanently disabled,
as defined by the contract or supplemental contract.
