Contracts may be executed by an
attorney duly authorized and acting for subscribers. Each attorney or exchange
doing business in this state shall be required to license each solicitor, agent, special
agent, special representative, or salaried representative soliciting business in this
state. Such representative need not be a resident of this state, nor will such
representative be required to countersign policies issued. The application for such
license shall be made by the employer, and the commissioner shall issue to such
individual requested in the application the required license upon payment of the
usual agent's license fee if the individual is found by the commissioner to be
qualified therefor.
