Text
The division may issue subpoenas, administer
oaths, and examine under oath any person as to any matter relevant to the
regulatory authority of the division. Upon the failure or refusal of a person to obey a
subpoena, the division may petition a court of competent jurisdiction for an order,
which order is enforceable through contempt proceedings, compelling the person
to appear and testify or produce documentary evidence. The commissioner may
arrange for the services of an administrative law judge appointed pursuant to part
10 of article 30 of title 24 to take evidence and to make findings and report them to
the commissioner.
