Text

(1)The provisions of this article, except section 8-12-110, shall not apply to the following:
(a)School work and supervised educational activities;
(b)Home chores;
(c)Work done for a parent or guardian, except where the parent or guardian receives any payment therefor;
(d)Newsboys and newspaper carriers.
(2)Any minor employed as an actor, model, or performer shall be exempt from the provisions of subsection (1) of section 8-12-105.
(3)The director may grant exemptions from any provision of this article, except for sections 8-12-113 and 8-12-114, for an individual minor if he finds that such an exemption would be in the best interests of the minor involved.
