(a)The Director of the Department of General Services is authorized to acquire, develop, design, and construct, according to plans and specifications approved by the Los Angeles Regional Crime Laboratory Facility Authority, an approximately 200,000 gross square foot regional criminal justice laboratory, necessary infrastructure, and related surface parking to accommodate approximately 600 cars on the Los Angeles campus of the California State University. In accordance with this authorization, the director is authorized to enter into any agreements, contracts, leases, or other documents necessary to effectuate and further the transaction.
