(a)The director may exercise the option to purchase 137,275 of net usable square feet of data center, office space, and appurtenances set forth in the lease for 3101 Gold Camp Drive, Rancho Cordova, California, 95670, for a price not to exceed forty-seven millions dollars ($47,000,000), for use by the Stephen P. Teale Data Center.
(b)The State Public Works Board may issue revenue bonds, negotiable notes, or negotiable bond anticipation notes pursuant to the State
Building Construction Act of 1955 (Part 10b (commencing with Section 15800) to finance the acquisition of the facilities authorized by subdivision (a) by exercise of the option to purchase. The board may borrow funds for project costs from the Pooled Money Investment Account pursuant to Sections 16312 and 16313.
