Text
If the program manager determines it is appropriate for the
welfare of a client, the client may be placed for temporary care
and treatment in any public or private hospital, institution or
residence in the state which provides services which will
benefit the client. The transfer shall not be made without the
consent of the client and his parents or guardian, or in the
case of an involuntary client, without leave of the court,
except in cases of medical emergency. During and after the
transfer, the client remains a client of the center. The cost of
the transfer and of the temporary treatment, care and training
provided shall be borne by the center. This section does not
limit the responsibility of third parties to pay for medical and
other expenses incurred by contract or law.
