Text
Said superintendent shall also fix the time, both as to the day
and hour, for the hearing of said contest, which date shall not
be less than thirty (30) nor more than sixty (60) days from the
date the notice is served on the party, association or
corporation, which notice and the return thereof shall be made
in the same manner as summons are served in civil actions in the
district courts of this state. Superintendents of water
divisions shall have power to adjourn hearings from time to time
upon reasonable notice to all the parties interested, and to
issue subpoenas and compel the attendance of witnesses to
testify upon such hearings, which shall be served in the same
manner as subpoenas issued out of the district courts of the
state; and shall have the power to compel such witnesses so
