Text
(a)A person who willfully causes the unwarranted
hospitalization of any individual under this act is guilty of a
felony punishable by a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars
($5,000.00) or imprisonment not exceeding five (5) years, or
both.
(b)A person who willfully denies any individual any of
the rights accorded to him under this act is guilty of a
misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding seven hundred
fifty dollars ($750.00) or imprisonment not exceeding six (6)
months, or both.
