Text
The initial contract for the operation of a facility or for
incarceration of prisoners or inmates therein shall be for a
period of not more than three (3) years with an option to renew
biannually thereafter. Contracts for purchase or lease (as
lessor or lessee) of a facility shall not exceed a term of
thirty (30) years. Any contract for the construction or
operation of a facility shall be subject to annual appropriation
by the contracting governmental entity.
