Text
(a)The department shall adopt rules and regulations
creating a bill of patient rights and establishing the
procedures by which those rights may be enforced, limited or
denied.
(b)Repealed by Laws 1989, ch. 147, § 2.

(d)No person who is being treated in good faith by
spiritual means alone, through prayer, by a duly accredited
practitioner in accordance with the tenets and practices of a
recognized church or religious denomination may be detained,
hospitalized or ordered to receive treatment under this act
unless:
(i)A court finds by clear and convincing evidence
that he is mentally ill; or
(ii)If the person is a minor or is incompetent his
parent or guardian consents to detention, hospitalization or
treatment.
