Text
Any person, company, corporation or association of persons,
operating or maintaining in whole or in part, either as owners,
agent, occupant or appropriator any ditch, canal or watercourse,
not being a natural stream, for irrigation or any other, and
different purpose, shall put in, construct, maintain and keep in
repair at his, her, its or their expense for one (1) year, where
the same crosses any public highway or publicly traveled road, a
good substantial bridge, not less than fourteen (14) feet in
width, over such ditch, canal or watercourse where it crosses
such road. Any violation of the provisions of this section shall
be a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, the person so
offending shall pay a fine in any sum not exceeding one hundred
dollars ($100.00) for each day such ditch,
