Text
In addition to the privilege of voters and members of the Legislature from arrest, as prescribed by the third section of article IV, and the seventeenth section of article VI of the Constitution, the following persons shall also be privileged from arrest under civil process, except for an escape, to wit: A judge, grand juror, or witness, required by lawful authority to attend at any court or place, during such attendance, and while going to and returning from such court or place; officers and men, while going to, attending, and returning from any muster or court-martial which they are lawfully required to attend; persons attending funerals and ministers of the gospel while engaged in performing religious service in a place where a congregation is assembled and while going to and returning
