Text

Employers shall register with the Department of Labor, on forms provided by it, when commencing or ceasing business operations in the State and no fee shall be required by the State for that registration. An employer who refuses or neglects to register as required by this section may be assessed an administrative penalty of not more than $50.00. (Amended 1993, No. 225 (Adj. Sess.), § 20; 2005, No. 103 (Adj. Sess.), § 3, eff. April 5, 2006; 2023, No. 85 (Adj. Sess.), § 154, eff. July 1, 2024.)
