Utah Code Ann. § 78A-6-354 (2026).

Text

(1)A hearing for a minor's case shall be held before the juvenile court without a jury and may be conducted in an informal manner.
(2)(2)(a) A minor's case under Title 80, Chapter 3, Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency Proceedings, Chapter 4, Termination and Restoration of Parental Rights, and Chapter 6, Juvenile Justice, shall be heard separately from any adult case.
(2)(b) The minor or the minor's parent or guardian may be heard separately when considered necessary by the juvenile court.
(2)(c) A hearing may be continued to a date specified by court order.
