Text
(1)This section applies to the electronic referendum process described in Section 20A-21-201.
(2)A Utah voter may sign a local referendum petition if the voter is a legal voter and resides in the local jurisdiction.
(3)The sponsors shall ensure that the signature-gatherer who collects a signature from an individual:
(3)(a) verifies that the individual is at least 18 years old and meets the residency requirements of Section 20A-2-105; and
(3)(b) is informed that each signer is required to read and understand the law that is the subject of the referendum petition.
(4)(4)(a) A voter who signs a referendum petition may have the voter's signature removed from the referendum petition by, in accordance with Section 20A-1-1003, submitting to the county clerk a statement requesting that the vot
