Text

(1)An election officer shall ensure that the following election equipment is never connected to the Internet:
(1)(a) tabulation servers;
(1)(b) tabulation equipment;
(1)(c) ballot scanners, including central, precinct, and mobile scanners; and
(1)(d) ballot marking devices.
(2)This section does not prohibit Internet connection of equipment used for voting if the equipment's use of voting is solely for the purpose of:
(2)(a) complying with Title 20A, Chapter 16, Uniform Military and Overseas Voters Act; or
(2)(b) administering the Internet Voting Pilot Project, described in Section 20A-6-103.
