Text

(1)The lieutenant governor shall, on at least an annual basis, conduct an audit of the voter registration database.
(2)The audit shall include:
(2)(a) a random selection of at least .02% of the active registered voters statewide; and
(2)(b) at least one active registered voter from each county.
(3)For each voter selected for the audit, the auditor shall:
(3)(a) verify that the voter is eligible for registration;
(3)(b) verify that the voter's registration information is accurate and supported by the documentation on file;
(3)(c) verify that there is a signature on file for the voter;
(3)(d) check for duplicate voter registrations; and
(3)(e) search available resources to determine whether the voter is deceased.
