Text
(1)As used in this section, "request to receive a ballot by mail" means to make a request as described in Subsection (2).
(2)An individual may request to receive a ballot by mail by:
(2)(a) making the request on a voter registration form;
(2)(b) making the request when the individual applies for or renews the individual's driver license or state identification card;
(2)(c) making the request via the electronic system described in Section 20A-2-206; or
(2)(d) making the request when the voter votes in person.
(3)An election officer shall, when mailing ballots to voters under Section 20A-3a-202, mail a ballot to each registered voter who:
(3)(a) for an election held before January 1, 2029, is an active voter, unless the voter requests to stop receiving a ballot by mail; or
(3)(b) except a
