Text

(1)As used in this section, "declared emergency" means a state of emergency that:
(1)(a) is declared by:
(1)(a)(i) the president of the United States;
(1)(a)(ii) the governor in an executive order under Title 53, Chapter 2a, Part 2, Disaster Response and Recovery Act; or
(1)(a)(iii) the chief executive officer of a political subdivision in a proclamation under Title 53, Chapter 2a, Part 2, Disaster Response and Recovery Act; and
(1)(b) affects an election in the state, including:
(1)(b)(i) voting on election day;
(1)(b)(ii) early voting;
(1)(b)(iii) the transmittal or voting of a ballot;
(1)(b)(iv) the counting of a ballot; or
(1)(b)(v) the canvassing of election returns.
