Sec. 342.303. CHARGE OF EXCESSIVE TOLL RATE.
(a)If the holder of a license to operate a ferry charges and receives from a person a toll at a rate greater than the rate authorized by the commissioners court, the license holder is liable to the person in the amount of $5 for each violation.
(b)A suit under this section must be filed in a justice court of the county in which the license is issued.
(c)A person who brings a suit under this section and prevails is entitled to recover costs of suit.
