Sec. 257.102. PETITION TO ESTABLISH ROAD DISTRICT.

(a)A petition to establish a road district under this subchapter must be signed by at least 50 registered voters or a majority of the registered voters, whichever is less, in each county or in each portion of a county of which less than the entire county is included in the proposed district.
(b)The petition must:
(1)describe in general terms the road or roads proposed to be constructed and any municipalities to be connected by the road or roads;
(2)name each county proposed to be included in the road district and define the portion of each county proposed to be included if less than the entire county is proposed to be included in the district; and
(3)request each commissioners court to order an election to determine whether the county
