Sec. 8834.061. GENERAL MANAGER.

(a)The board may employ a general manager to serve as the chief administrative officer of the district. The district may contract with any person to perform the general manager's duties.
(b)The board may delegate to the general manager the authority to manage and operate the affairs of the district subject only to orders of the board.
(c)The duties of the general manager include:
(1)administering board orders;
(2)coordinating with state, federal, and local agencies;
(3)supervising development of district plans and programs;
(4)preparing and submitting the annual budget to the board; and
(5)performing other duties assigned by the board.
(d)The general manager shall execute a bond that is:
(1)in an amount set by the board;
(2)payable to the district
