Sec. 8506.059. CONFLICT OF INTEREST; CRIMINAL PENALTY.

(a)A director, officer, agent, or employee of the authority may not be directly or indirectly interested in a contract for the purchase of any property or construction of any work by or for the authority.
(b)A person commits an offense if the person violates this section. An offense under this subsection is a felony punishable by:
(1)a fine not to exceed $10,000;
(2)confinement in the institutional division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for not less than one year or more than 10 years; or
(3)both the fine and confinement.
